University of the Algarve

The University of Algarve is a young state university (founded in 1979  located in the southeast of Portugal. The University encompasses both 'Unidades de Ensino Universitário' (Faculties) offering university type further education and "Escolas de Ensino Superior Politécnico" (Polytechnic Schools) offering polytechnic style education.

The University of Algarve presently offers two Masters in the field of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM). These are entitled Marine and Coastal Studies (EMAC) and Water and Coastal Management (WCM). The latter is an Erasmus Mundus program, funded by the European Commission.

Anna University

Anna University is the largest affiliated technological university in Asia having more than 238 Engineering Colleges.The Institute for Ocean Management (IOM), which is a partner in the Coastal Profs project, is part of the Faculty for Civil Engineering. IOM’s mission is to manage ocean and coastal environments and their resources through research, education and training. The Department of Ocean Development of the Government of India has recognized IOM as the National Centre for Coastal Zone Management.

Cantho University

Cantho University, established in 1966, is the largest regional state university in Vietnam. It is located in Cantho city, in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Cantho University has more than 33,000 students and offers 57 undergraduate programs, 22 graduate programs, and 6 PhD programs. The participants in the Coastal Profs project derive from the School of Aquaculture and Fisheries. They are currently involved in teaching a Master program on Environmental Science and Management, and a Master program on Aquaculture.

Wageningen University

Wageningen University is one of the world’s leading education and research centres in the areas of plant, animal, agrotechnology, production systems, nature and the environment. It combines fundamental and applied research with innovative education. Wageningen University carries out involved in curriculum development and educational programmes, aimed at the translation of technological knowledge into study programmes and practical applications. This has resulted in Dutch Study Programmes as well as in International Education.
